Sweepstakes casinos for US players, compared honestly
Casino Pioneer tracks eighteen sweepstakes casinos and tells you the three things that matter: what the welcome package is really worth, how low the bar to a first prize sits, and how long the money takes to arrive.

Three casinos finished clear of the field this month. Each one redeems prizes within a day, uses a 1x playthrough, and hands over free Sweepstakes Coins the moment you register.

Stake.us

Pulsz

Why these three. Mega Bonanza pays faster than anyone, around seven hours, and its 50 free Sweepstakes Coins equal the redemption minimum, so a first prize needs no purchase at all. Stake.us gives 55 SC, the most on the list, with a library that includes games built in-house. Pulsz is the steady veteran: a big offer, a loyal following, and redemptions that land in about fourteen hours.

Three numbers to look at before anything else
Free sweeps versus the minimum
The Sweepstakes Coins in the welcome package are the only part that can become a prize. Compare them with the minimum needed to redeem: 50 SC at most casinos, 100 at a few.
Playthrough
How many times bonus coins must be played before you can redeem. Sixteen of our eighteen casinos use 1x; Golden Hearts Games and ThrillCoins use 2x.
Prize time
How long an approved redemption takes to arrive. Seven hours at the quickest casino, three days at the slowest, measured from reader reports every month.
From sign-up to first prize in six steps
- Check your state first
Thirteen states have closed sweepstakes casinos and Oklahoma closes on November 1, 2026. Our legal states page has the current list.
- Register with your real details
Name, address and date of birth are checked before your first prize. Mistakes here are the most common cause of a stalled redemption.
- Collect the welcome package
Gold Coins for play, Sweepstakes Coins for prizes. Both land automatically at nearly every casino on the list.
- Verify your identity straight away
A photo ID and proof of address. Do it on day one and the first redemption goes through without a pause.
- Play with Sweepstakes Coins when it counts
Switch the coin toggle to SC. Gold Coin play is fun but it never leads to a prize.
- Redeem once you reach the minimum
Request a redemption to your bank account. Approved requests arrive in seven hours to three days depending on the casino.
Where sweepstakes casinos are open
Closed: Washington, Idaho, Michigan, Nevada, Montana, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, California, Indiana, Maine, Tennessee and Louisiana. Closing November 1, 2026: Oklahoma.
In the other thirty-seven states, sweepstakes play is open to adults who meet the casino’s age rule: 18 at most casinos, 21 at some. See the state by state page.
What a sweepstakes casino actually is
Picture an online casino where the chips come in two colours. One colour, Gold Coins, is handed out free and can be bought by the bucket, but it never turns back into money. The other colour, Sweepstakes Coins, cannot be bought at all. It comes free as a bonus with Gold Coin purchases, with daily logins, and through a postcard you can mail in. Play those coins through once, reach the casino’s minimum, and they can be redeemed for a cash prize.
That two-colour system is what makes the whole thing a sweepstakes rather than gambling in the eyes of most state laws, and it is why no purchase is ever necessary. It is also the single most important thing to understand before you register anywhere: the huge Gold Coin numbers in every advert are play money, and the small number after the plus sign is the only part worth comparing.
Casino Pioneer exists to do that comparison for you, and to keep doing it as casinos change their terms. The getting started guide walks through everything in order.
